#TwoForTuesday + #TilesOnTuesday:

Joseph-Théodore Deck (French, 1823-1891)
Tile Plaques, c.1880
Earthenware with underglaze & overglaze enamel decoration
Each tile: 10 x 10 in (25.4 x 25.4 cm)
Each panel: 40 x 20 in (101.6 x 50.8 cm)
On view at Philadelphia Museum of Art
The vibrant turquoise blue in these works was one of the signature glazes developed by ceramist Joseph-Théodore Deck, who was inspired by Turkish ceramics. The turquoise came to be so closely identified with the artist that it came to be known in the late 1800s as ‘Deck blue.’”

itd be fun to make a survivalcraft type game with a limited amount of loot, and a limited world size, where every piece of loot is in a chest or boss drop somewhere in the world. i think it'd make a fun sorta procgen metroidvania type beat
i know some ppl have tried to make procgen metroidvanias and they've been mid to bad for one reason or another, i think having the progression gates be softlocks rather than hardlocks in a sandbox type setting would be good for that :)
#celeste thoughts#add this to the list of game ideas i might never have time for lol#i think itd REALLY work with some of the drops being diagetic outerwilds style notes giving players directions#either saying what the goals of the game are or going in detail on certain game functions like moves or crafting recipes or mob behaviors#icing on the cake every loot item would be in a list like a deck of cards and so you won't know where certain things will be#think this would be fun and feasible with like. 3-5 bosses 4-8 mobs and 10-20 tiles about 50 loot items#but there might be quite a few filler ones like health up and extra inventory slots

currently building the isabelle’s house animal crossing lego set and having a GREAT time
#nurture ur inner child or whatever the buzz phrase is#deeply pleasing to me that the little inside of the house is all decked out too like we’ve got miniature counter tiling going on over here#and it’s very sweet#update: the kitchen counter tiling is actually a patchwork blanket on the little bed which is even CUTER omg#🐢
